The Jalsa and Jilpa Map of Chennai

I tried looking up the map of Chennai on Google Maps. And I got this.


It completely confused me. In my mind, the only useful map of Chennai would look like this.


I have no idea why Google is trying to confuse me.

ps: Uppolojees. This post is rather Chennai-centric and may not make sense to Non-Chennaiites.

    For some reason , Akismet spam filter considers any comments with two forward slashes (“//” ) to be spam, and I usually have to rescue most of your comments from the “Awaiting Moderation” list 🙂 I wish Akismet learnt from this (as it claims to do) but it doesn’t seem to.

    Zimbly I lovvvve this map saar. Always I vanted vun map of my Mylapore/Madras and now I have the perrrfect vun.

    It’s even better that wonly us Madras peeples can understand much of it 🙂

    Loved the map. I was a student in Madras (not Chennai) 20 years ago. You brought back a lot of memories with this map.
